Description

Senior Marketing Coordinator

OUC - The Reliable Onean industry leader and the second largest municipal utility in Florida committed to serving the community and the environment, is presently seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join the Marketing & New Products division.

We are looking for a strategic-minded, design-focused, creative professional with a proactive and assertive approach to managing projects, leading marketing campaigns and discovering innovative approaches and solutions for our internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will develop and facilitate the internal and external marketing campaigns and design team projects to support the Commercial Services and the New Products & Market Development teams. Additionally, you will ensure marketing and communications efforts are obtaining the desired results and on schedule while adhering to OUC's corporate standards through project management, creative development, qualitative research, data analysis, and quality control.

Job Purpose:

Develop and facilitate internal and external marketing and communications projects and plan for the Marketing, Communications, Community Engagement and New Products business units. Ensure OUC marketing and communications efforts are effective, kept on schedule and adhere to OUC’s corporate standards through project management, creative development, qualitative research, data analysis and quality control.

Primary Functions:

  • Develop and coordinate OUC marketing and communications initiatives across all marketing and communication channels; translate marketing and communications strategies and insights into executable plans and messaging across appropriate channels, to include traditional and digital media, social media, events, OUC websites/microsites and customer experience touch points;
  • Develop and manage marketing and communications projects; produce various traditional and digital marketing/communications projects, including advertising/communications campaigns, OUC collateral, bill inserts, brochures, print and e-newsletters, email campaigns and multimedia projects; facilitate development, design and fulfillment of projects with OUC Creative Services, outside vendors, community partners and not-for-profit agencies;

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Conduct OUC advertising and media buys; work with vendors and agencies to ensure best possible return on OUC’s advertising budget through prudent media and advertising buys;
  • Manage relationships with out-of-house vendors, community partners, and not-for-profit agencies;
  • Provide creative direction and project support for photo shoots and video/audio production projects;
  • Track and report on project and campaign results including return on investment and other marketing metrics; analyze results, make recommendations, and deliver presentations as needed;
  • Provide insights on market, industry trends and best practices for marketing campaigns and projects;
  • Work with Research and Insights area to conduct research to analyze customer behavior for marketing campaigns and projects;
  • Create customized marketing reports for other business units as needed;
  • Reconcile all invoices and payments for marketing campaigns and projects;
  • Complete projects using a variety of graphic design, desktop publishing and multimedia design
  • Lead creative direction and project support for photo shoots and video/audio production projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing, advertising, or creative development
  • Minimum of two (2) years supporting or coordinating projects; or development of creative collateral or communications materials
  • Experience with a CRM and Enterprise Marketing Automation platform (such as Salesforce, SharpSpring, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Strong creative design/marketing focus with demonstrable experience in lead generation, identifying target audiences, and experience with leading and managing digital marketing campaigns, email, social media, and advertising campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and time management skills

Technical Requirements:

Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:

  • Marketing, Communications and Advertising Fundamentals;
  • Project Management and online tools;
  • Creative Development;
  • Budgets;
  • Charts, Diagrams, Informational graphics/reports;
  • Software Application (i.e. JDEdwards EnterpriseOne (E1), Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), graphic design and desktop publishing packages [Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro], Wrike and Sprout Social);

Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:

  • Content Management and Customer Relationship Management tools;
  • Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances and laws

Ability to:

  • Demonstrate strong project management, planning and organizing skills with an attention to detail;
  • Execute quantitative and/or data analysis activities;
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with peers, vendors, graphic service bureaus and advertising agencies;
  • Demonstrate good listening skills and communicate clearly and concisely;
  • Develop creative solutions to challenging problems, generate fresh ideas and exhibit a high level of initiative; gather and provide data in advance of need;
  • Work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities effectively and adapt to changes quickly, while meeting strict deadlines;
  • Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages;
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.) and WordPress;
  • Use Content Management and Customer Relationship Management tools;
