Currently, we’re looking for a full-time Business Development professional that can focus on finding and developing relationships with potential architectural and engineering clients and owner clients in our core areas of airports, roadway, transportation, municipal, military, and education. The position would play an active role in client relationship management including initiating client meetings/BD opportunities as needed, schedule and participate in client meetings, and attend pre-proposal meetings. Due to the nature of this position, work hours are often but not always predictable. Responsibilities include attending after-hour events such as happy hours, open houses, awards banquets, and travel for conferences and other industry events.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, manage, and maintain client relationships.
- Identify and attend outreach and industry networking events.
- Coordinate & attend conferences related to marketing, specific projects, or A/E/C (Architecture / Engineering / Construction) industry.
- Attend project related events (topping off ceremony, awards receptions, ribbon cutting).
- Active involvement in community/industry organizations (SMPS, WTS, AIA, ACEC etc.).
- Identify and facilitate brand outreach opportunities (sponsorships, etc.).
- Initiate and participate in business development outings (sporting events, lunches, etc.).
- Research and identify networking opportunities and events for staff.
- Research and identify project opportunities.
- Maintain client vendor portals and solicitation boards.
- Plan and execute PK Electrical events (esp. external).
- Utilize CRM software to keep client information updated.
- Ensure consistency with PK brand standards.
- Participate in weekly and quarterly marketing meetings and yearly strategy meetings.
- Stay in constant contact (daily, weekly) with management staff.
- Work closely with marketing coordinator on firm materials.
Ideal Candidate:
- Possess an upbeat attitude and professional appearance.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled with all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle short deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Quick learner and adaptive.
